The goal of this project was to create a brand identity for a winery catering to mathematicians. Below is a fictional story and design developed by tracing both wine and and mathematics back to their roots.

Around 1900 BC in Babylon, mathematics was born using clay tablets. Years later, wine was born next door using barrels made from the same clay, coincidence? We think not. Since it’s beginnings, wine has been a great source of inspiration for mathematicians all over the world. From the days of clay tablets and clay barrels, to the days of calculators and boxed wine, mathematicians and wine have always been a perfect pairing.

To honor this historic partnership, Babylon Wine Co was born. These hand crafted wines are made using traditional clay barrels and precise measurements that would make any mathematician proud. Our hope is that these wine will be the inspiration for many great mathematical equations to come.
